About the Player: I'm 21 years old. I'm a senior at a University in Ohio, and I'm majoring in Psychology. I, also, have a job working retail and I like to spend time with my friends when i can, but I spend as much free time as I can role playing or doing my own writing.

I have been role playing for almost ten years now. I started when I was 12 years old, yes, I know. I joined a big message board role playing game that was technically for people 16+, but the people running it actually asked me to be a mod after a month or so playing there. Mods in that game had to write all the NPCs for the other characters. It was a big honor. From there, I moved on to Play-by-E-mails and random role playing in message boards. Two years ago I started role playing at Live Journal and very recently I made the move to Insane Journal.

Celeb, PB, or fandom?: Honestly Celeb rp squicks me out a little. I think PB is the new term for original, correct (please, correct me if I'm wrong)? I love it though. Original/pb role play is where I started, and I feel it is the heart of RP. I will, also, do fandom role playing. I've been doing fandom role playing for six years. It's a lot of fun, and I'm really open to explorion AUs or sticking to canon.

Who I like to play: I have no preferences, really. I like to play a wide range of characters. I can play male and female. I can play slash, het, femme or whatever. It really makes no difference for me. I'd, also, totally be into non-romance lines, as well. The most important aspect for me is that the character is complex and real in some semse of the word. Obviously, it's all fiction, but what makes writing good and what makes rp good is that it's believable. The PB doesn't matter to me either as long as it fits the character.

AIM or threading: I really prefer threading. I like having the icons. I like the way that it's organized. I promise I'm just as fast over threading as I am over AIM, which tends to make my brain freeze up when I try to role play over it. I do have AIM, however, and if we get into a PSL, I'd love to plot or talk about the line through AIM.

POVs and Tenses: I only role play in 3rd person. I can do past or present tense, however. I've recently fallen in love with present tense.

Storyline Preferences: I'm new to this whole PSL world. I've done PSLs before, but I didn't realize they were PSLs at the time and I never went out looking for them, they kind of just happened. I love well rounded role play though. I love drama, romance, dark, etc. I'm willing to branch into all sorts of different possibilities right now. I won't play kid/adult and I probably won't play incest, unless it's done right (like Flowers in the Attic).

Quality writing isn't about long, flowery descriptions. Both Stephen King and the ultimate guide on writing have this rule Omit Needless Words. Say what needs to be said to tell the story and move on with it. However, one liners tend to be annoying, especially if that's all I'm getting in response.

Don't obsess over length. Just write.

I severely dislike:

-Mary-Sues
-God-Modding
-Idiots
-Close Mindedness

I will straight up tell you if a line isn't working out for me or my character. It happens sometimes. It doesn't mean I think that you're a bad role player. It could just be that the characters aren't working or that our writing styles are too vastly different.

Don't sweat it.

I'm working on a storyline post and a post for my fandoms and all of the characters I can potentially play.

Fandoms & Examples

This is not a complete list. There are fandoms that I could manage that aren't listed and there are characters in fandoms listed that I can probably manage as well. I'm open to a lot so drop me a line.
